1. LM324ADT Substitution Conclusion
The LM324ADT is a highly viable direct substitute for the original LM2902D. Their core parameters are nearly identical: the supply voltage range (3-30V vs. 3-26V), gain bandwidth product (1.3MHz vs. 1.2MHz), and input bias current (20nA) are closely matched, ensuring basic performance interoperability in general-purpose amplification, filtering, and comparator circuits. The primary difference is the LM324ADT's slightly lower slew rate (0.4V/µs vs. 0.5V/µs), which moderately reduces its ability to respond to rapid output signal changes. This could be a limiting factor in applications requiring very high frequencies or steep pulse edges. However, the impact is negligible for the vast majority of low-frequency applications such as audio, sensor signal conditioning, and DC circuits. Conversely, its higher output drive capability (40mA vs. 30mA) is an advantage, beneficial for driving heavier loads. For non-extreme high-speed applications, the LM324ADT can be considered an equivalent replacement.
2. BA10324AF-E2 Substitution Conclusion
The BA10324AF-E2 is a significantly constrained substitute for the LM2902D and requires careful evaluation. Its most critical drawbacks are its substantially lower gain bandwidth product (500kHz) and slew rate (0.2V/µs) compared to the original part (1.2MHz, 0.5V/µs). This drastically reduces the usable upper signal frequency limit and the response speed for large-signal swings. If the original design involves frequencies above audio or fast transient signals, this substitution may lead to performance degradation or even circuit failure. While its quiescent current (600µA) is far lower than the original's (1.4mA)—a significant advantage in power-sensitive designs—and it offers slight advantages in input offset voltage (2mV) and maximum supply voltage (32V), these benefits do not compensate for the core deficiencies in bandwidth and speed. Furthermore, its package width (4.40mm) differs from the standard SOIC (3.90mm), which may affect PCB layout compatibility. This device is suitable only for applications with extremely low bandwidth and speed requirements but strict power constraints; it is not a general-purpose substitute.
