1. LCAT1001-07 Substitution Conclusion Direct substitution is not recommended. While the LCAT1001-07 matches the original AT-107V part in attenuation value, power rating, and connector interface, its key limitation is an operational frequency range of only DC–3 GHz. This is significantly narrower than the original part's DC–18 GHz range. The LCAT1001-07 is therefore suitable only for low-frequency applications up to 3 GHz, such as general wireless communications and certain test scenarios. If deployed in the 3–18 GHz band—for instance, in Ku-band satellite communications or high-end test and measurement systems—it would exhibit substantial deviation from its nominal attenuation, degraded VSWR, and introduce signal distortion and measurement errors. Consequently, it cannot meet the broadband performance requirements of the original design.
2. LCAT1002-07 Substitution Conclusion Direct substitution is not recommended. The feasibility of substituting with the LCAT1002-07 is identical to that of the LCAT1001-07. Although its basic parameters—such as attenuation and power handling—align with the original part, its core constraint remains the same: a frequency range limited to DC–3 GHz. This represents a generational gap compared to the original part's 18 GHz bandwidth. As a result, the LCAT1002-07 can only address a subset of the original part's low-frequency applications and is entirely unsuitable for any RF link or test requirement above 3 GHz. Forced substitution would lead to a complete failure of system performance at higher frequencies.
