1. LCAT1001-10 Substitution Conclusion
Not substitutable. The fundamental limitation of the LCAT1001-10 is its operational frequency range (DC-3 GHz), which is significantly narrower than the original AT-110V's DC-18 GHz. In the 3 GHz to 18 GHz band, the attenuation of the LCAT1001-10 will deviate severely from its nominal 10dB value, and its Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR) will degrade sharply. This can introduce unpredictable signal reflection and insertion loss, thereby compromising impedance matching and overall performance in high-frequency systems. Consequently, it is entirely unsuitable as a replacement for the original part in applications requiring coverage up to 18 GHz.
2. LCAT1000-10 Substitution Conclusion
Conditional substitution, high risk, requires strict evaluation. While the frequency range of the LCAT1000-10 (DC-6 GHz) is superior to that of the LCAT1001-10, it still covers only one-third of the original part's range (DC-18 GHz). Within the critical high-frequency band from 6 GHz to 18 GHz, this attenuator likewise cannot guarantee its nominal attenuation accuracy or maintain proper impedance matching, leading to signal distortion and measurement errors. Substitution may only be considered if your system's maximum operating frequency is definitively limited to 6 GHz or below, and performance margin at 6 GHz is not a critical requirement. Otherwise, a part covering the full frequency range (up to 18 GHz) must be selected.
