1. THS3001IDR Substitution Conclusion
The THS3001IDR is a direct and fully viable substitute for the THS3001ID; they are essentially the same device. The suffix "R" solely indicates a reel packaging format. All critical electrical parameters, package (8-SOIC), and functionality (current feedback amplifier) are identical to the original part. Any apparent discrepancy in the datasheet entry for "Current - Output / Channel" reflects only a difference in the level of detail provided, not a performance distinction. The substitution is equivalent and can be performed directly.
2. ISL28177FBZ-T13 Substitution Conclusion
The ISL28177FBZ-T13 cannot substitute for the THS3001ID. There are fundamental differences in core performance between the two devices. The THS3001ID is an ultra-high-speed current feedback amplifier (CFA) with extremely high gain-bandwidth product (1.75 GHz) and slew rate (6500 V/µs), specifically designed for high-speed signal processing applications such as video and RF. In contrast, the ISL28177FBZ is a low-speed, general-purpose voltage feedback amplifier (VFA) with a gain-bandwidth product (600 kHz) and slew rate (0.2 V/µs) that are orders of magnitude lower. It is optimized for high-precision DC signal amplification, featuring low input bias current (200 pA) and offset voltage (150 µV). In the high-speed application circuits intended for the original part, substituting with this device would cause severe signal distortion or complete system failure. Their application domains are entirely different.
