1. TS514IDT Substitution Conclusion The TS514IDT is compatible with the TL054CD in terms of package and supply voltage range. However, significant differences exist in key parameters. Its input bias current (50 nA) is substantially higher than that of the JFET-input stage of the TL054CD (30 pA). This can introduce errors in applications extremely sensitive to input current, such as high-impedance sensor interfaces and precision integrator circuits. The slew rate (1.5 V/µs) is significantly lower than the TL054CD's 17.8 V/µs, limiting high-speed signal processing capability and making it unsuitable for scenarios requiring fast transient response. While its quiescent current (500 µA) is notably lower, which benefits low-power designs, its output drive current (23 mA) is weaker, resulting in poor capability to drive low-impedance loads. Substitution can be cautiously considered only in general-purpose, low-frequency circuits where speed, input precision, and drive strength are not critical. Direct replacement is not recommended for precision or high-speed applications.
