1. TS272AIDT Substitution Conclusion
Direct substitution is not recommended. The TS272AIDT significantly outperforms the original part in dynamic performance (slew rate 5.5V/µs vs. 0.032V/µs, bandwidth 3.5MHz vs. 110kHz), making it more suitable for high-speed signal processing. However, its input offset voltage (900µV) is substantially higher than that of the TLC1078CD (180µV), which introduces greater DC error and compromises accuracy in precision amplification or sensor signal conditioning. Furthermore, its quiescent current (1mA per channel) is significantly higher, increasing power dissipation by approximately 34 times. The minimum operating voltage also rises from 1.4V to 3V, limiting its suitability in low-voltage battery-powered applications. Substitution may be considered if the application demands higher speed and output drive capability (45mA) and can tolerate the higher offset and power consumption; otherwise, it is not advised.
2. TS272BIDT Substitution Conclusion
Substitution can be cautiously considered in applications with higher accuracy requirements. The TS272BIDT shares the same dynamic performance advantages (slew rate 5.5V/µs, bandwidth 3.5MHz) and output drive capability as the TS272AIDT. However, its input offset voltage (250µV) is closer to that of the original part (180µV), offering significantly better DC accuracy than the A version and making it more suitable for scenarios requiring a balance of speed and precision. The core limitations of high quiescent current (1mA per channel) and elevated minimum operating voltage (3V) remain, which may preclude direct replacement in low-power or ultra-low-voltage systems (e.g., 1.5V battery operation). Substitution is feasible if the system supply voltage is ≥3V, the increased power dissipation is acceptable, and improved signal response speed is needed. It is not viable if microamp-level quiescent current or 1.4V operation must be maintained.
