1. AS358AMTR-E1 Substitution Conclusion
The AS358AMTR-E1 is not recommended as a direct replacement for the TLE2072ID. It may only be considered for non-critical, general-purpose signal processing applications with very low performance requirements, but with the risk of significant performance degradation. The key differences are as follows: First, there is a substantial discrepancy in input characteristics. The JFET architecture of the TLE2072ID provides an ultra-low input bias current of 1pA and a low offset voltage of 300µV, making it suitable for high-impedance sensor interfaces, precision integrators, and other applications requiring minute current detection or high DC accuracy. In contrast, the general-purpose standard architecture of the AS358AMTR-E1 results in an input bias current as high as 20nA (20,000 times higher) and an offset voltage of 2mV (approximately 6 times worse), which will introduce non-negligible errors and severely impact measurement accuracy. Second, there is a significant gap in dynamic performance. The TLE2072ID offers a high slew rate of 45V/µs and a 10MHz gain bandwidth, making it suitable for medium- to high-speed signal processing. The AS358AMTR-E1 does not specify slew rate or bandwidth and is typically a low-frequency general-purpose type, which may lead to distortion or delayed response in high-speed signals. Third, power consumption and supply range: While the AS358AMTR-E1 has a lower quiescent current (0.7mA per channel) beneficial for low-power designs, its maximum supply voltage (36V) is slightly lower than that of the TLE2072ID (38V), requiring margin verification in high-voltage applications.
