1. Substitution Conclusion for BU7266FVM-TR
Direct substitution is not recommended. The BU7266FVM-TR is an ultra-low quiescent current (700nA) CMOS amplifier, but its core performance metrics are orders of magnitude below those of the original part. Its gain-bandwidth product is only 4kHz (vs. 1MHz for the LMV358Q1), and its slew rate is a mere 0.0024 V/µs (vs. 1 V/µs for the LMV358Q1). The signal bandwidth of the BU7266FVM-TR is extremely limited, making it incapable of processing any mid-to-high frequency signals. Its response is also exceptionally slow, restricting its use to ultra-low-frequency, micropower sensing applications with no speed or bandwidth requirements, such as monitoring slowly varying sensor signals. Furthermore, its 4mA output drive capability is far lower than the original part's 160mA, rendering it unable to drive any circuit with a load requirement. Except for its static power consumption, its performance is severely deficient for general-purpose amplification and it cannot serve as a functional substitute.
2. Substitution Conclusion for BU7486FVM-TR
Substitution requires careful evaluation and is only viable under specific conditions. The BU7486FVM-TR offers superior small-signal bandwidth (10MHz) and slew rate (10V/µs) compared to the original part, but this comes at the cost of significantly higher power consumption. Its quiescent current is 6mA, which is over 14 times greater than that of the LMV358Q1 (~0.42mA), making it unsuitable for battery-powered or power-sensitive applications. Its 12mA output current is also substantially lower than the original's 160mA, resulting in weaker drive capability. Crucially, it lacks AEC-Q100 automotive qualification. Its temperature range, reliability, and consistency have not been validated to automotive-grade standards, precluding its use in automotive electronics or industrial applications demanding high reliability. It may be considered as a performance upgrade alternative in non-automotive, power-insensitive, general consumer electronics applications requiring higher bandwidth. Otherwise, particularly in automotive or high-reliability applications, it is not a viable substitute.
