ALD2702ASAL Substitution Conclusion Based on a detailed comparison, the ALD2702ASAL cannot be used as a direct substitute for the LMC6035IMQ1. The primary reasons are significant discrepancies in key performance parameters and applicable standards. The input offset voltage of the ALD2702ASAL (5 mV) is an order of magnitude higher than that of the original part (500 µV). Similarly, its input bias current (1 pA) is 50 times greater (vs. 0.02 pA). These figures indicate that the DC accuracy of the ALD2702ASAL is substantially inferior, which would introduce unacceptable error in applications requiring high-precision amplification. Furthermore, its supply voltage range (4V to 10V) is considerably narrower than the original part's range of 2V to 15.5V. This limitation prevents its use in single/dual-cell low-voltage operations and makes it incompatible with higher-voltage supply systems. A critical differentiator is qualification: the original component is AEC-Q100 qualified for automotive applications, while the ALD2702ASAL datasheet does not mention this certification. Consequently, it is unsuitable for automotive or industrial environments with stringent reliability requirements. The ALD2702ASAL may only be considered for non-critical, general-purpose applications within its mid-voltage range (4-10V) where precision, wide supply voltage, and high reliability are not required. Even in such cases, a thorough evaluation of circuit performance is mandatory.
