1. TL35072P Substitution Conclusion
The TL35072P cannot serve as a direct replacement for the AS358P-E1. Although it offers superior performance in precision (input bias current 1 pA vs. 20 nA, offset voltage 300 µV vs. 2 mV) and speed (slew rate 13 V/µs), its key parameters are critically incompatible with the original design. First, its minimum operating voltage is 4 V, higher than the 3 V of the AS358P-E1, which may prevent startup in systems operating between 3–4 V. Second, its quiescent current is as high as 3.5 mA (even when divided per channel, it remains significantly above 700 µA), making it unacceptable for any power-sensitive application, such as battery-powered systems. Unless the supply voltage is consistently above 4 V and power consumption is of no concern, substitution is not feasible.
2. LM358PE3 Substitution Conclusion
The LM358PE3 can be used as a direct replacement for the AS358P-E1, as both are general-purpose dual op-amps of comparable grade. Differences lie in the LM358PE3’s slightly higher input offset voltage (3 mV vs. 2 mV), which may introduce marginally greater output error in high-precision DC amplification applications, and its lower slew rate (0.3 V/µs, compared to a similar typical value for the unspecified AS358), resulting in slower response to fast transient signals. However, their core electrical characteristics are highly aligned: operating voltage ranges (3–30 V vs. 3–36 V) overlap extensively, quiescent currents (500 µA vs. 700 µA) are both in the low-power range, and output current capability is identical at 40 mA. In most general-purpose amplification, filtering, and comparator circuits, the LM358PE3 can serve as a drop-in replacement.
