In applications operating near the original design’s upper voltage limit (e.g., >32V), the LM258P still cannot be safely substituted. Other parameters of both TI devices—including their lower power consumption (500µA) and comparable bandwidth and slew rate—make them electrically equivalent or even superior to the original part in certain aspects.
