LM258PT Substitution Conclusion The LM258PT is essentially compatible with the BA4558FVT-GE2 in terms of package footprint and wide supply voltage range (3–30V), and it carries automotive-grade AEC-Q100 qualification. However, key parameter differences are significant: its input offset voltage is as high as 5mV (vs. 500µV for the BA4558), gain bandwidth product is only 1.1MHz (vs. 2MHz), and slew rate is 0.6V/µs (vs. 1V/µs). In high-precision DC amplification or mid-frequency signal processing applications, the LM258PT may introduce larger errors, limited bandwidth, and slower response.
