1. AD9632ARZ-REEL7 Substitution Conclusion The AD9632ARZ-REEL7 is not recommended as a general-purpose drop-in replacement for the OPA843ID. It may be considered only in specific applications sensitive to slew rate and power consumption, where requirements for bandwidth and DC precision are relaxed. The key differences are as follows: First, the bandwidth performance differs significantly. The OPA843 offers a gain-bandwidth product (GBWP) of 800MHz and a -3dB bandwidth of 500MHz, which is substantially higher than the AD9632's -3dB bandwidth of 250MHz. Consequently, the AD9632 provides far less usable gain or a lower frequency response limit when processing high-frequency signals and is unsuitable for the original part's high-frequency amplification scenarios. Second, the DC precision characteristics are reversed. The AD9632's input offset voltage (2mV) is an order of magnitude higher than the OPA843's (300µV). This will introduce significantly greater inherent error when amplifying DC or low-frequency signals, severely impacting accuracy. However, the AD9632's lower input bias current (2µA vs. 20µA for the OPA843) makes it more suitable for use with high-impedance signal sources. Third, there is a trade-off in dynamic performance and drive capability. The AD9632 features a higher slew rate (1500V/µs), providing superior ability to handle large signals and fast transients, along with a lower quiescent current (16mA) for improved power efficiency. Its output current capability (70mA), however, is lower than the OPA843's (100mA), resulting in slightly weaker drive strength for heavy loads. Although the two parts are pin-compatible and have overlapping supply voltage ranges, the substantial gap in core bandwidth and precision specifications means a direct substitution would degrade system performance in high-frequency operation or precision. Therefore, a strict evaluation based on specific circuit requirements is essential.
