Both devices are fully aligned on key performance parameters—including bandwidth, slew rate, input bias current, offset voltage, and supply voltage range—ensuring direct functional compatibility in the vast majority of applications.
Two primary differences exist. First, the output current: the LMV358MM/NOPB's 160mA rating is significantly higher than the original's 60mA. This provides superior drive strength and lower voltage drop when driving heavy loads (such as low-impedance or large capacitive loads), representing a clear performance upgrade. Second, the package footprint: the LMV358MM/NOPB uses a narrower VSSOP/MSOP package (3.00mm wide), compared to the original's wider TSSOP (4.40mm wide). Substitution therefore requires a re-evaluation and modification of the PCB layout and pad design.
2. LMV358IDGKR Substitution Conclusion
The LMV358IDGKR can generally replace the original AZV358GTR-G1, but its weaker drive capability necessitates a careful review of load conditions. Core amplifier performance (bandwidth, offset, supply range, etc.) is highly consistent between the two, ensuring compatibility at the signal processing level.
Two key differences must be noted. First, the output current: the LMV358IDGKR's 40mA is lower than the original's 60mA. When driving identical loads, this may result in greater output voltage loss or, in applications operating near the original design's current limit, lead to performance degradation or potential overload. This is a critical downgrade risk. Second, the package size: similar to the LMV358MM/NOPB, its smaller VSSOP/MSOP package (3.00mm wide) is physically incompatible for a direct replacement of the original, wider TSSOP (4.40mm wide). A PCB revision is mandatory.
