Direct substitution is not recommended. While both devices are general-purpose single op-amps with rail-to-rail output and are package-compatible (SOT-23-5), the AD8515ARTZ-R2 is significantly inferior to the NCV2003SN2T1G in several key performance parameters. It features a lower slew rate (2.7V/µs vs. 8V/µs) and a lower gain-bandwidth product (5MHz vs. 7MHz), resulting in poorer capability for handling high-speed or high-frequency signals. Its input offset voltage is twice as high (1mV vs. 500µV), leading to worse DC accuracy. Furthermore, its output drive current is considerably smaller (20mA vs. 96mA), providing insufficient capability to drive heavy loads. Additionally, the NCV2003 offers a wider supply voltage range (1.7-5.5V vs. 1.8-5V) and the critical AEC-Q100 automotive-grade qualification, which is not specified for the AD8515. The AD8515ARTZ-REEL exhibits the same performance shortcomings relative to the original part, NCV2003SN2T1G (lower speed, lower precision, weaker drive capability, and non-automotive grade). It is not a viable substitute in applications requiring the original part's performance specifications or automotive-grade reliability. It may be considered a downgraded substitute only in extremely rare, non-critical, non-automotive applications where package compatibility is the sole requirement and the aforementioned performance parameters are not sensitive. However, rigorous circuit validation is mandatory in such cases.
