1. TL062ACD Substitution Conclusion
Direct substitution of the LM258AWDT with the TL062ACD has low feasibility and is not recommended. The key differences are as follows: First, its supply voltage range (10-30V) is narrower than that of the original part (3-30V), with a significantly higher minimum operating voltage. This renders it unsuitable for direct replacement in single-supply, low-voltage systems (e.g., 5V or 3.3V) or wide-voltage-range applications. Second, its output drive capability (20mA) is substantially lower than the original part's 60mA, leading to a marked reduction in its ability to drive low-impedance loads. This may fail to meet the original design's current output requirements. Furthermore, the TL062ACD lacks AEC-Q100 automotive-grade qualification, whereas the original part is automotive-grade, making it non-interchangeable in automotive or high-reliability industrial applications. Although its J-FET input offers the advantage of extremely low input bias current (pA-level vs. nA-level), making it suitable for high-impedance signal sources, the critical limitations outlined above preclude its use as a drop-in replacement.
2. TLE2061CD Substitution Conclusion
Direct substitution of the LM258AWDT with the TLE2061CD is not viable. The most fundamental difference lies in the circuit count: the TLE2061CD is a single op-amp, while the LM258AWDT is a dual op-amp. This results in completely different pin definitions and functionality, making a pin-compatible physical replacement impossible. Even disregarding the package, and considering only electrical performance, although the TLE2061CD outperforms or matches the original part in several parameters such as slew rate, bandwidth, input bias current, and output current (80mA), and also possesses automotive-grade certification, its single-channel nature dictates that it requires a complete redesign of the circuit board and layout. It cannot be used in the footprint intended for a dual op-amp. Therefore, it cannot be considered a "substitute" for the original part, but rather a "redesign option" that necessitates a new circuit implementation.
