1. MAX4246AUA+ Substitution Conclusion Direct substitution is not recommended. Although both devices are dual-channel, rail-to-rail output operational amplifiers with identical maximum supply voltage ratings, the critical limitation of the MAX4246AUA+ is its minimum operating voltage of 2.5V. This prevents it from covering the original part's wide supply range of 1.8V to 5.5V, rendering it completely non-functional in low-voltage systems between 1.8V and 2.5V, which is the primary compatibility barrier. Furthermore, its quiescent current (375µA per channel) is nearly eight times higher than that of the original part (48µA per channel). This would significantly reduce battery life in power-sensitive applications. While it holds slight advantages in output drive capability (30mA) and input offset voltage (400µV), these benefits do not offset the fundamental differences in supply range and power consumption.
2. TSV622IST Substitution Conclusion Substitution is conditionally acceptable, suitable for low-frequency, low-power scenarios where bandwidth and precision are not critical. The most critical differentiator is its input offset voltage of 4mV, which is eight times greater than the original's 500µV. This would introduce substantially larger errors in DC or precision amplification circuits, making it unsuitable for any application requiring a reasonable degree of accuracy.
