1. LM2904D Substitution Conclusion
The LM2904D cannot directly replace the AD8022ARZ-REEL. The two devices exhibit significant differences in core performance, primarily in speed and precision. The AD8022 is a high-speed voltage-feedback operational amplifier, with a gain-bandwidth product (GBWP) of 100 MHz and a slew rate of 50 V/µs, enabling it to process high-frequency or fast-changing signals. In contrast, the LM2904D is a general-purpose low-frequency op-amp with a GBWP of only 700 kHz and a slew rate as low as 0.3 V/µs. Forcing a substitution would result in severe gain attenuation at high frequencies, and the output waveform would distort significantly due to insufficient slew rate. Furthermore, the AD8022's input bias current (2.5 µA) is substantially higher than that of the LM2904D (20 nA). In precision circuits requiring high input impedance, this substitution would introduce different DC errors and potentially shift the circuit's operating point. The LM2904D is suitable only for applications with minimal bandwidth and speed requirements (e.g., DC or sub-audio frequencies) and cannot fulfill the design role intended for the AD8022.
2. LM2904DE4 Substitution Conclusion
The LM2904DE4 also cannot directly replace the AD8022ARZ-REEL. The LM2904DE4 shares identical electrical parameters with the LM2904D, including gain-bandwidth product, slew rate, and input bias current. The suffix "E4" typically denotes an environmental (lead-free) or specific manufacturing process code and does not alter its core performance specifications. The technical gap between it and the AD8022 is exactly the same as described for the LM2904D above: there is a fundamental disparity in speed (the bandwidth and slew rate differ by two orders of magnitude) and certain precision parameters. Substitution would result in a complete loss of the original design's high-speed performance, rendering the circuit inoperative under high-frequency or fast-transient conditions. Essentially, it is a different version of the same general-purpose op-amp chip. Therefore, its substitution feasibility is equivalent to that of the LM2904D and is not suitable for high-speed applications.
