1. OP284ESZ-REEL Substitution Conclusion The substitution is essentially not viable. Although the OP284ESZ-REEL is compatible with the LT1632IS8 in terms of package and supply voltage range, and offers superior input bias current (80nA vs. 1.15µA) and input offset voltage (100µV vs. 500µA), its core high-speed performance metrics are severely deficient. Both the gain-bandwidth product (4.25 MHz vs. 45 MHz) and slew rate (4V/µs vs. 45V/µs) are an order of magnitude lower. Furthermore, its output drive capability (10mA vs. 70mA) is only one-seventh that of the LT1632. In the original circuit designed for processing high-frequency signals, fast transients, or driving low-impedance loads, the OP284ESZ would introduce significant bandwidth limitation, signal distortion, or outright failure. It is suitable only for DC or very low-frequency precision applications where speed is not a requirement.
2. OP284FSZ-REEL Substitution Conclusion The substitution is essentially not viable. The performance of the OP284FSZ-REEL is fundamentally identical to the ESZ version described above. It exhibits the same significant shortfall in the three key performance parameters: gain-bandwidth product, slew rate, and output current, failing to meet the original design's requirements for speed and drive capability. Its primary distinction from the ESZ version is a slightly worse input offset voltage (175µV), which is not the decisive factor for substitution feasibility. While its DC precision (bias current) is better than the LT1632's, it is likewise confined to applications with extremely low sensitivity to speed. Direct substitution in circuits relying on the LT1632's high-speed characteristics would result in severe performance degradation or functional failure.
