1. TLE2081ID Substitution Conclusion
The TLE2081ID demonstrates high feasibility for direct substitution. As a JFET-input operational amplifier sharing the same package and gain-bandwidth product (GBW) as the original part, it ensures gain stability across most frequency ranges. Its core advantages lie in significantly superior input characteristics (input bias current of 20 pA vs. 130 pA, input offset voltage of 490 µV vs. 1.5 mV) and lower quiescent current (1.7mA vs. 5.1mA). This makes the TLE2081ID perform better in applications requiring high input impedance, high-precision signal acquisition, or low power consumption. Its slew rate (45V/µs) is comparable to the original part (50V/µs), indicating similar dynamic response capability. A key difference to note is its minimum supply voltage of 4.5V (versus 16V for the original). This disqualifies it for specific high-voltage designs using a single supply above 4.5V but below 16V. However, it maintains good compatibility in common dual-supply systems ranging from ±5V to ±15V and beyond.
2. NE5534D Substitution Conclusion
The NE5534D is not recommended as a direct substitute due to fundamental differences in its internal architecture. The NE5534D is a classic bipolar-input op-amp. Its input bias current (500 nA) is nearly 4000 times higher than that of the original JFET part (130 pA). This will impose a significant load effect on high-impedance signal sources and introduce substantially larger offset current errors, completely negating the core advantage of ultra-high input impedance inherent to JFET op-amps. Furthermore, its slew rate (13V/µs) is far lower than the original part's, resulting in poor high-frequency response and transient handling capability for large signals. While it shares the same GBW (10 MHz) and package, and its offset voltage (500 µV) is acceptable, these factors cannot compensate for its major deficiencies in input characteristics and speed. It is only suitable for general-purpose audio or medium-to-low-speed applications where input impedance and speed are not critical, and it cannot functionally replace a JFET part in circuits requiring JFET performance.
