HA5023IBZ Substitution Assessment
Based on a comparison of core performance parameters, the HA5023IBZ is not a straightforward drop-in replacement for the LMH6724MA/NOPB. Its use is primarily viable in applications with relaxed bandwidth and slew rate requirements.
The key differences are as follows: The HA5023IBZ's bandwidth (125 MHz) and slew rate (350 V/µs) are significantly lower than those of the LMH6724 (370 MHz, 600 V/µs). This limits its performance when handling high-frequency or fast-transient signals. Furthermore, the HA5023IBZ's output drive capability (20 mA) is considerably weaker than the LMH6724's (110 mA), which may lead to distortion or output limitation when driving low-impedance loads.
While the HA5023IBZ offers a wider supply voltage range (±4.75V to ±18V) and slightly lower quiescent current, the degradation in core dynamic performance makes it unsuitable for the high-speed signal processing applications—such as video amplification and high-speed data transmission—for which the original part was intended.
Substitution may be considered cautiously only in systems where bandwidth and drive strength are not critical, and where the wider supply voltage range is a necessary benefit.
