1. BU7486FVM-TR Substitution Conclusion Direct substitution is not recommended. Although the package is compatible and both are rail-to-rail output dual op-amps, there is a severe degradation in one key performance metric and a fundamental difference in one characteristic: Its quiescent current (6mA) is over 14 times higher than that of the original part (~420µA). Substitution would lead to a drastic increase in system power consumption, completely negating the core low-power advantage of the original device. This makes it unsuitable for power-sensitive applications such as battery-powered systems. Furthermore, it is a CMOS amplifier.
