1. LM833D Substitution Conclusion Not a direct substitute. While the LM833D shares the same package and offers a slightly higher gain-bandwidth product, its core parameters fundamentally differ from those of the AD746JRZ. First, as a general-purpose audio op-amp, its slew rate of 7V/µs is far lower than the AD746JRZ's 75V/µs. This will cause severe distortion when processing high-speed transient signals, rendering it unsuitable for the original design's intended high-speed applications. Second, its input bias current of 300nA is three orders of magnitude higher than the AD746JRZ's 110pA. This introduces unacceptable error currents for high-impedance signal sources, completely negating the high input impedance and low input current advantages of the original JFET op-amp design. The LM833D is only suitable for audio or general low-frequency circuits where speed and input current are not critical. It cannot serve as a substitute for high-speed, high-impedance applications.
2. TL062IDT Substitution Conclusion Not a direct substitute. Although the TL062IDT is also a JFET-input op-amp with a compatible package, its key performance metrics are comprehensively inferior to those of the AD746JRZ. Its slew rate is only 3.5V/µs, and its gain-bandwidth product is only 1MHz, representing approximately 1/20th and 1/13th of the AD746JRZ's specifications, respectively. This makes it entirely incapable of performing the high-speed signal amplification or processing tasks required by the original design. Furthermore, its input offset voltage of 3mV is an order of magnitude worse than the AD746JRZ's 300µV, introducing significant DC error. While it offers advantages in lower input bias current and power consumption, these benefits cannot compensate for its substantial deficits in speed and precision. The TL062IDT is only suitable for very low-power, low-speed DC or low-frequency signal conditioning. It is not a viable replacement for the AD746JRZ in medium-to-high-speed, high-precision applications.
