1. SA26B-08 Substitution Conclusion
The SA26B-08 can serve as a limited substitute for the original component, subject to key constraints. The primary difference lies in the frequency range (0 Hz–26 GHz versus the original part’s 32 GHz). Beyond 26 GHz up to 32 GHz, this device cannot guarantee specified attenuation performance or impedance matching, potentially leading to increased insertion loss and degraded return loss. Therefore, it is only suitable for systems operating at or below 26 GHz. Provided the actual application frequency remains under 26 GHz, core parameters such as attenuation value, power handling, and connector interface are directly compatible.
2. FMAT7466-8 Substitution Conclusion
The FMAT7466-8 is not recommended as a direct replacement for the original part, except in very low-frequency systems. Its frequency range is limited to 0 Hz–12 GHz, a significant reduction compared to the original part’s 32 GHz. Above 12 GHz, attenuation accuracy and impedance consistency degrade noticeably, which can lead to increased signal distortion or higher reflection, making it unsuitable for broadband or high-frequency applications. Substitution should only be considered if the operating band is entirely below 12 GHz and both power rating and interface type are matched; otherwise, system performance may be compromised.
