1. SA18H-09 Substitution Conclusion
The SA18H-09 can serve as a conditional substitute for the original part. The key difference lies in its reduced frequency range of 0-18 GHz, compared to the original's 0-32 GHz. This attenuator is only guaranteed to perform reliably up to 18 GHz. If deployed in applications exceeding 18 GHz (e.g., portions of the Ku, K, or Ka bands), significant performance degradation or failure is expected. For systems operating within the 0-18 GHz range, its attenuation value, power handling capability, and connector interface are identical to the original part, making it a suitable drop-in replacement.
2. FMAT1013 Substitution Conclusion
The FMAT1013 is a poor candidate for a direct replacement of the original part. The primary disqualifying factor is its limited frequency range of 0-6 GHz, which is significantly lower than the original's 32 GHz specification. Consequently, this attenuator is only applicable in RF systems operating below 6 GHz (e.g., UHF, some C-band applications). It cannot meet any requirements for higher frequencies (such as X, Ku, K bands and above). Forcing its use in high-frequency scenarios will introduce substantial insertion loss deviation and poor return loss, leading to severe system performance degradation. Its use as a substitute must therefore be strictly confined to low-frequency applications.
