1. LM2904VDMR2G Substitution Conclusion
Direct substitution is not recommended. Although its supply voltage range, output current, and package are compatible with the original part, key parameters show significant drawbacks: its input offset voltage is as high as 7mV (compared to 2mV for the original), which will substantially degrade DC accuracy and introduce unacceptable error in applications amplifying weak signals or requiring high precision. Furthermore, its quiescent current (1.5mA per channel) is significantly higher than the original's (500µA per channel), leading to notably increased system power consumption, which is undesirable for battery-powered devices. While the bandwidth shows a slight improvement, it does not compensate for the critical deficiencies in precision and power consumption.
2. LM358DMR2G Substitution Conclusion
This part can serve as a direct substitute in most applications. Its key electrical parameters are highly compatible with the original: the input offset voltage is identical at 2mV, ensuring equivalent DC accuracy; the gain bandwidth is improved to 1MHz (versus 700kHz for the original), offering a slight advantage in small-signal bandwidth; and the supply range is compatible and even wider. The difference is a slightly higher quiescent current (800µA per channel vs. 500µA per channel). Substitution will therefore lead to a modest increase in system power consumption. However, for designs not targeting ultra-low power, this difference is generally acceptable and does not impact core functionality or accuracy.
