1. BA2904SFVM-TR Substitution Conclusion
For general low-frequency, non-precision applications such as signal conditioning, comparators, and DC amplification, the BA2904SFVM-TR can serve as a viable substitute for the LM358DGKR. Both are dual-channel general-purpose operational amplifiers with comparable key parameters—including input bias current (20 nA), quiescent current (500 µA), and wide supply voltage range—and are pin‑compatible.
However, several differences must be noted. The BA2904 offers lower gain‑bandwidth product (500 kHz) and slew rate (0.2 V/µs) compared to the LM358 (800 kHz, 0.3 V/µs), resulting in weaker performance when handling higher‑frequency signals or fast transients. Its output current capability (30 mA) is also lower than that of the LM358 (40 mA), slightly reducing load‑driving capacity. On the other hand, the BA2904 exhibits better input offset voltage (2 mV versus 3 mV for the LM358), offering slightly improved DC accuracy.
If the application has specific requirements for bandwidth, slew rate, or output drive, substitution should be approached with caution. Otherwise, in typical low‑speed, moderate‑precision scenarios, the BA2904SFVM‑TR can be considered a feasible alternative.
