1. TL431ILP Substitution Conclusion
The TL431ILP can directly replace the original TL431ILPG, as both share identical key parameters including reference voltage, output current, tolerance, and package. The primary distinction is that the TL431ILP does not specify a temperature coefficient (the original part is typically 50 ppm/°C), which may lead to differences in output voltage drift over wide temperature ranges. Evaluation based on actual temperature stability requirements is recommended. Additionally, the manufacturer has changed to TI; potential variations in unlisted parameters such as dynamic response and noise should be considered. However, for most applications, direct substitution is acceptable.
2. TL431ACLP Substitution Conclusion
The TL431ACLP is a viable substitute for the original part, but two key differences must be noted: it offers higher tolerance accuracy (±1% vs ±2.2%), which can improve system precision; however, it requires a lower cathode operating current (600 µA vs 1 mA). The bias circuit must be designed to ensure this lower minimum operating current, otherwise reference stability may be compromised. If the circuit can meet the current requirement, this part provides better accuracy and is package-compatible. Nevertheless, verification of startup behavior at low temperatures is advised.
