1. AD8072JRZ-REEL7 Substitution Conclusion Direct substitution is essentially not viable due to significant performance gaps. The AD8072 falls far short of the original part in key high‑speed performance metrics: its –3 dB bandwidth (100 MHz vs. 500 MHz) and slew rate (500 V/µs vs. 4000 V/µs) are only about 1/5 to 1/8 of those of the EL5263. When processing high‑frequency signals or fast transients, the AD8072 will introduce severe bandwidth limitation and dynamic response distortion, failing to meet the original design's speed requirements. Moreover, its output drive capability (30 mA vs. 100 mA) is weaker, which may become a limitation when driving the same load. Unless the application has extremely low bandwidth and speed requirements, this part is not suitable as a replacement.
2. OPA2674IDR Substitution Conclusion This device can be considered as a conditional substitute, but careful evaluation of power consumption and system compatibility is required. The OPA2674 offers speed performance relatively close to the original part (260 MHz bandwidth, 2000 V/µs slew rate). Although slightly lower than the EL5263, it can be regarded as in the same order of magnitude for most high‑speed applications. Its notable advantage is a much higher output current capability of 500 mA, providing stronger drive. The most critical difference, however, is its quiescent supply current of 18 mA per channel, which is 12 times that of the EL5263 (1.5 mA per channel). Substituting with the OPA2674 would cause a sharp increase in system power dissipation, potentially leading to power‑network and thermal‑design issues. If the significant rise in power consumption is acceptable and the power supply system can support it, the OPA2674 can be used as a replacement; otherwise, it is not recommended.
