1. AD823AARZ-R7 Substitution Conclusion
The AD823AARZ-R7 can serve as a substitute for the LT1881CS8TRPBF in terms of package compatibility (both 8-SOIC) and supply voltage range (3 V to 36 V, close to the original 2.7 V to 36 V). However, careful evaluation of the application is required due to significant performance differences. The AD823AARZ-R7 employs a J-FET input stage, offering extremely low input bias current (1.3 pA vs. 150 pA). This makes it better suited for high-impedance sensor interfaces, minimizing signal source loading. Its higher input offset voltage (800 µV vs. 30 µV), however, may degrade DC accuracy, rendering it unsuitable for high-precision measurements.
Furthermore, the AD823AARZ-R7 features significantly higher slew rate (35 V/µs) and gain-bandwidth product (10 MHz) compared to the original part (0.4 V/µs and 850 kHz). This enables it to handle high-speed signals and higher-frequency applications. On the downside, its supply current is considerably larger (6.3 mA per channel vs. 850 µA per channel), leading to higher power dissipation. Additionally, its output drive current is lower (17 mA per channel vs. 40 mA per channel), which may limit its ability to drive heavy loads.
Substitution is feasible in applications prioritizing high speed and low input bias current, but it may not be suitable in scenarios demanding high precision, low power consumption, or high output drive capability.
