1. LM358ADR2G Substitution Conclusion
The LM358ADR2G is not a suitable substitute for the LT1169CS8. While it is package-compatible and a dual-channel op-amp, its core is based on a standard bipolar input architecture, fundamentally differing from the original's J-FET input. This results in an input bias current (45 nA) over 10,000 times higher than the LT1169's (4 pA) and an input offset voltage (2 mV) more than three times greater. Consequently, its performance will be severely degraded in applications involving high-impedance source signals or those demanding high precision and low input current, such as photodetection or charge integration. Its advantages—namely, extremely low quiescent current and a wider single-supply operating range—cannot compensate for this critical gap in input characteristics. Therefore, it is only suitable for general-purpose voltage amplification or comparison tasks where input errors are not a primary concern, and it cannot serve as a functionally equivalent replacement.
2. LF412CDE4 Substitution Conclusion
The LF412CDE4 is a viable direct replacement. Like the original part, it is a J-FET input dual op-amp with highly compatible core electrical characteristics. Its input bias current (50 pA) and offset voltage (500 µV) are at the same excellent level, ensuring precision in high-impedance signal conditioning applications. Its slew rate (13 V/µs) is significantly higher than the original's (4.2 V/µs), providing an advantage in large-signal response speed. Although its gain-bandwidth product (3 MHz) is slightly lower than the original's (5.3 MHz) and its supply voltage upper limit (36 V) is somewhat narrower, these differences do not impact core functionality in the vast majority of applications, such as precision amplifiers, active filters, and sample-and-hold circuits. A direct "pin-to-pin" replacement is therefore achievable.
