1. TLE2071AIDG4 Substitution Conclusion Direct substitution is not recommended. It may only be considered in applications that specifically require high speed, high input impedance, and have extremely low demands on DC accuracy. Although the two devices are package-compatible and have partially overlapping supply voltage ranges, their core performance differs fundamentally. The input offset voltage of the TLE2071AIDG4 (470 µV) is over 15 times greater than that of the LT1008S8 (30 µV), which would introduce significantly larger system errors in DC amplification or precision measurement applications. Its slew rate (45 V/µs) far exceeds that of the original part (0.2 V/µs), and it offers wider bandwidth, making it more suitable for high-speed signal processing. However, this comes at the cost of higher quiescent current (1.7mA vs. 380µA), which is undesirable for low-power designs. In essence, this part trades DC precision and low power consumption for high speed and high input impedance (J-FET input). 2. TLE2071AIDR Substitution Conclusion Direct substitution is not recommended. Its feasibility is identical to that of the TLE2071AIDG4. The two differ only in their packaging suffix (DG4 and DR typically denote minor variations in reel/tape packaging specifications); their electrical performance and package are exactly the same. All technical comparison conclusions regarding the TLE2071AIDG4 apply fully to the TLE2071AIDR. For design substitution purposes, these two part numbers represent different packaging options for the same silicon die. The choice between them depends on production line assembly requirements and procurement/supply chain considerations. However, neither can substitute for the original low-offset-voltage amplifier LT1008S8 in applications demanding high DC precision.
