1. AD847JRZ-REEL Substitution Conclusion
Direct substitution is not recommended. The core differences between the AD847JRZ-REEL and the original LT1122 lie in the amplifier type and input characteristics: the AD847 is a standard bipolar-input amplifier with an input bias current (3.3 µA) significantly higher than that of the JFET-input LT1122 (12 pA). In applications highly sensitive to input current, such as high-impedance sensor interfaces or precision integrator circuits, the AD847 may introduce substantial errors. Additionally, its input offset voltage (500 µV) is approximately four times that of the LT1122 (130 µV), which would degrade DC accuracy. Although the AD847 offers advantages in bandwidth (50 MHz vs. 13 MHz) and slew rate (300 V/µs vs. 75 V/µs), making it better suited for high-speed signal processing, substitution would lead to performance mismatch if the original circuit relies on the ultra-low input current characteristic of a JFET amplifier.
2. AD847JRZ-REEL7 Substitution Conclusion
The conclusion is the same as for the AD847JRZ-REEL: direct substitution is not recommended. The AD847JRZ-REEL7 has identical parameters to the AD847JRZ-REEL, differing only in packaging (tape-and-reel format) with no variation in electrical characteristics. It similarly suffers from significant disadvantages in input bias current and offset voltage, and cannot meet the ultra-high input impedance and precision DC performance required by the original JFET amplifier. Substitution may only be feasible in applications insensitive to input current and where high-speed response is prioritized; however, such scenarios generally require a system-level reevaluation of stability and noise performance.
