Consequently, the BA4558 is entirely incapable of handling high-frequency or fast-changing signals and would introduce severe distortion in applications requiring high-speed amplification, such as video processing or high-speed pulse amplification. Furthermore, its higher minimum operating voltage (8 V vs. 5 V) restricts its use in low-voltage systems, and its output drive capability (unspecified, but typically far less than 40 mA) is most likely insufficient.
