The primary differences are: input offset voltage (3 mV for LM258 vs. 25 µV for LT1124, a 120× difference), which will drastically degrade DC accuracy and signal conditioning precision; gain bandwidth product and slew rate (1.1 MHz & 0.3 V/µs vs. 12.5 MHz & 4.5 V/µs), leading to significantly reduced dynamic response, signal processing speed, and high‑frequency performance; supply voltage range (3‑32 V vs. 8‑44 V), limiting its use in higher‑voltage or wider‑supply systems.
