1. AD8005ARZ-REEL Substitution Conclusion
Direct substitution is not feasible. Although the package is identical and the supply voltage range is wider, the core distinction lies in the fact that the AD8005 is a current-feedback amplifier (CFA), whereas the LT1722 is a voltage-feedback amplifier (VFA). Their operating principles and external circuit design—particularly the selection of feedback resistors—are fundamentally different. Direct replacement would typically lead to circuit malfunction. Furthermore, the input offset voltage of the AD8005 is two orders of magnitude higher (5 mV vs. 100 µV), resulting in significantly degraded DC accuracy. Its lower output drive current (10 mA vs. 50 mA) also provides weaker capability to drive heavy loads. Although the AD8005 offers advantages in slew rate (280 V/µs) and bandwidth (270 MHz -3dB bandwidth), these could only justify substitution in specific scenarios with extreme speed requirements, and only under the condition of completely redesigning the circuit and accepting inferior DC performance.
2. AD8005ARZ-REEL7 Substitution Conclusion
Direct substitution is not feasible. The AD8005ARZ-REEL7 and AD8005ARZ-REEL are the same die in different reel packaging formats; all their electrical parameters, package, and functionality are identical. The comparison with the original part, the LT1722, reveals the same differences: the amplifier types are fundamentally different (CFA vs. VFA), leading to circuit incompatibility. There is also a significant degradation in DC accuracy (input offset voltage) and output drive capability. Its high-speed performance advantages cannot compensate for the substantial differences in core architecture and key parameters. Therefore, it is likewise unsuitable as a direct replacement, unless a complete circuit redesign is undertaken specifically to leverage its speed benefits.
