1. OPA704NA/250 Substitution Conclusion
The OPA704NA/250 cannot be used as a direct substitute for the LT6202IS5TRPBF. The two parts exhibit significant differences in key performance parameters and are designed for fundamentally different application scenarios.
The primary distinctions are as follows: The OPA704's gain-bandwidth product (3 MHz) and slew rate (3 V/µs) are substantially lower than those of the LT6202 (100 MHz and 25 V/µs, respectively). Consequently, the OPA704 is incapable of handling high-frequency signals or fast transients and is suitable only for low-frequency, low-speed applications. Conversely, the OPA704 features a very low quiescent current (160 µA), making it ideal for battery-powered, low-power systems. The LT6202 has a much higher quiescent current (2.8 mA) but delivers a higher output current drive (40 mA vs. 10 mA) and operates over a wider supply voltage range (2.5V to 12.6V vs. 4V to 12V), offering superior load-driving capability and power supply flexibility.
Furthermore, the OPA704 provides excellent DC precision with extremely low input bias current (1 pA) and input offset voltage (160 µV), making it well-suited for high-precision sensor amplification. In contrast, the LT6202's corresponding parameters (3.8 µA and 2.6 mV) indicate its design focus is on general-purpose, high-speed applications rather than precision measurement.
Substitution is not feasible if the system requires high speed, wide bandwidth, or low-voltage operation. A replacement might only be considered if the application is strictly limited to low-frequency, low-power operation and demands high input precision. Even in such a case, a thorough re-evaluation of power supply and load compatibility is mandatory.
