1. OPA704NA/3K Substitution Conclusion Direct substitution is not recommended; it is only suitable for very low-speed, high-precision, low-power specific applications. Compared to the LT1800CS5, the OPA704NA/3K exhibits orders-of-magnitude deficiencies in key dynamic performance: its gain-bandwidth product (3 MHz vs. 70 MHz) and slew rate (3 V/µs vs. 23 V/µs) are significantly lower, rendering it incapable of handling high-frequency or fast-changing signals. Furthermore, its output drive capability (10 mA vs. 50 mA) and supply voltage range (4-12 V vs. 2.3-12.6 V) are more limited, which may cause failure in low-voltage applications or when driving heavier loads. However, its input bias current (1 pA vs. 400 nA) and offset voltage (160 µV vs. 1 mV) are notably superior to the original part, making it suitable for weak-signal detection where DC accuracy is critical. Additionally, its quiescent current (160 µA vs. 1.8 mA) is extremely low, which is beneficial for battery-powered systems.
2. OPA705NA/3K Substitution Conclusion Completely unsuitable for substitution, with an even greater performance gap. The gain-bandwidth product (1 MHz) and slew rate (0.6 V/µs) of the OPA705NA/3K are only about 1/70 and 1/38 of the LT1800CS5, respectively, making it entirely inadequate for any medium- to high-speed signal processing applications (such as audio, data acquisition, or filtering). Its output current and supply voltage range are identical to the OPA704 and inferior to the original part. Although it shares the low input bias current (1 pA) and low-power characteristics of the OPA704, its offset voltage (500 µV) is worse, offering no advantage in either precision or speed. It can only be considered for low-frequency, low-power detection circuits where speed and drive capability are not required. Note that its minimum operating voltage (4 V) is higher than the original part, which may restrict its use in low-voltage applications.
