1. LF356M Substitution Conclusion
The LF356M is not suitable for directly substituting the LT1792CS8TRPBF. The core differences lie in three key aspects:
First, the input offset voltage (3 mV for the LF356M versus only 200 µV for the LT1792) results in significantly degraded DC accuracy in the LF356M, potentially introducing non-negligible static error.
Second, the supply voltage range (the LF356M supports only ±15 V symmetrical supplies, while the LT1792 supports 9–40 V single/dual supplies) means the LF356M cannot cover wide-voltage application scenarios.
Third, the input bias current (30 pA for the LF356M, 300 pA for the LT1792), while beneficial for high-impedance signals, does not offset the two critical shortcomings mentioned above.
Substitution may only be considered in systems where offset voltage sensitivity is low and the supply voltage matches; otherwise, a redesign of the surrounding circuitry is necessary.
