1. MCP608T-I/SN Substitution Conclusion Direct substitution is not viable. The MCP608T-I/SN is an ultra-low-power, low-bandwidth general-purpose op-amp. Its key dynamic parameters—a gain-bandwidth product of 155 kHz and a slew rate of 0.08 V/µs—are orders of magnitude lower than those of the original high-speed amplifier, the AD8063ARZ (with a -3dB bandwidth of 320 MHz and a slew rate of 650 V/µs). Consequently, it is entirely incapable of processing any mid-to-high frequency or fast-changing signals. It is only suitable for DC or ultra-low-frequency sensing applications where speed and bandwidth are not critical. Furthermore, its output drive current (17 mA) is lower than that of the original part (50 mA), which may limit its ability to drive low-impedance loads.
2. MCP663T-E/SN Substitution Conclusion Provided voltage compatibility is ensured, this device can serve as a conditional, medium-to-low-speed replacement, but it cannot meet high-frequency, high-performance requirements. The MCP663T-E/SN is a medium-speed general-purpose amplifier. While its performance (60 MHz gain-bandwidth product, 32 V/µs slew rate) is significantly better than the MCP608T, it remains substantially inferior to the original AD8063ARZ. Its performance will degrade severely in applications involving high-frequency signal processing or fast pulse response. The most critical limitation is its maximum supply voltage of 5.5V, which is lower than the AD8063's 8V rating. If the original design operates at a supply voltage exceeding 5.5V, substitution is absolutely not possible. For systems operating at ≤5.5V and where the actual signal frequency/speed is well below 60 MHz, it may be considered as a replacement option, albeit at the cost of sacrificing performance margin.
