LMH6714MF Substitution Conclusion The LMH6714MF is mechanically compatible with the AD8009JRTZ-REEL in terms of package (both are SOT-23-5), making physical replacement feasible. However, there are critical differences in technical performance. The bandwidth (400 MHz) and slew rate (1800 V/µs) of the LMH6714 are significantly lower than those of the AD8009 (845 MHz and 5500 V/µs). In high-frequency or high-speed signal processing applications, the LMH6714 may introduce signal distortion and response delays, failing to meet the high-performance requirements of the original part. Furthermore, the LMH6714’s output current (70 mA) is lower, limiting its ability to drive low-impedance loads, whereas the AD8009’s 175 mA output is better suited for heavy-load conditions. On the other hand, the LMH6714’s supply current (5.6 mA) is much lower than that of the AD8009 (16 mA), resulting in significantly reduced power consumption. This makes the LMH6714 suitable for designs prioritizing energy efficiency. However, its supply voltage range is narrower (single supply from 8V, compared to the AD8009’s support down to 5V), which may not be suitable for low-voltage systems. Substitution feasibility is highly application-dependent. If the system bandwidth requirement is below 400 MHz, the load is light, and power consumption is a key concern, the LMH6714 can be considered as an optimized alternative.
