1. LT1037IS8 Substitution Conclusion
Feasibility: Partially feasible, but requires careful evaluation of input-stage characteristic matching. The LT1037IS8 significantly outperforms the AD8510BRZ-REEL in bandwidth (60 MHz vs. 8 MHz) and supply voltage range (8–44 V vs. 9–36 V), and offers lower input offset voltage (20 µV vs. 80 µV). However, there are critical differences: its input bias current is as high as 15 nA, whereas the JFET-input AD8510 is only 25 pA. The LT1037’s input impedance is substantially lower than that of the original part, which may introduce unacceptable error or DC drift in circuits with high-impedance signal sources, integrators, or precision current sensing. Additionally, its slew rate (15 V/µs) is slightly lower than the original part’s 20 V/µs, potentially affecting large-signal high‑frequency response. Substitution should only be considered if the circuit is insensitive to input bias current and requires higher bandwidth; otherwise, direct replacement is not recommended.
2. LT1007CS8PBF Substitution Conclusion
Feasibility: Generally not recommended for direct substitution due to notable shortcomings in dynamic performance. While the LT1007CS8PBF matches or exceeds the AD8510BRZ-REEL in input offset voltage (20 µV) and supply voltage range (8–44 V), its slew rate (2.5 V/µs) is far below the original part’s 20 V/µs. This will cause severe distortion when handling fast‑changing signals such as audio, pulses, or high‑frequency large signals, and its effective bandwidth (also 8 MHz) is limited by the slew rate. Moreover, its input bias current (15 nA) is nearly three orders of magnitude higher than that of the JFET‑input AD8510, making it unsuitable for high‑impedance applications. Unless the application involves only low‑frequency, small‑signal operation with low sensitivity to input current, the significant degradation in dynamic performance renders it inadequate for most roles of the original part.
