In applications sensitive to input current, such as high-impedance sensor interfaces or precision integrator circuits, the LT1007 may introduce considerable error. Furthermore, its slew rate is only 2.5 V/µs (versus 20 V/µs for the AD8510), resulting in noticeably insufficient dynamic response and potential distortion of high-frequency signals. This device is suitable only for low-frequency, medium-to-low impedance applications where input current and transient response are not critical.

However, its input bias current is also 15 nA, which is far higher than the AD8510’s 25 pA, rendering it unsuitable for precision circuits demanding extremely low input current, such as photodiode amplifiers or high-impedance voltage measurement. If the application does not rely on the JFET’s ultra-low input current characteristics and the supply voltage range (8–44 V) is compatible with the original design, the LT1037 can be considered as a performance-upgrade alternative, though the impact of its input bias current must be re-evaluated.
