1. MC33072ADR2G Substitution Conclusion Not a direct substitute. The MC33072 is a standard bipolar-input op-amp whose input bias current (100 nA) is approximately 4000 times higher than the JFET-input AD8512 (25 pA). This may introduce significant error in applications such as high-impedance or precision sensor signal conditioning. Additionally, its slew rate (13 V/µs) and gain-bandwidth product (4.5 MHz) are lower, resulting in weaker dynamic performance compared to the AD8512 (20 V/µs, 8 MHz), which may lead to insufficient high-frequency response. Although it offers a wider supply range (3–44 V) and slightly lower quiescent current, its core characteristics do not match. It is only suitable for general-purpose amplification where input current sensitivity is low and speed requirements are moderate.
2. LT1169CS8TRPBF Substitution Conclusion Conditional substitute. The LT1169 is also a JFET-input op-amp with a lower input bias current (4 pA) than the AD8512, making it suitable for high-impedance signal processing. However, its slew rate (4.2 V/µs) and gain-bandwidth product (5.3 MHz) are significantly lower than those of the AD8512, resulting in slower dynamic response that may limit high-speed signal processing capability. Furthermore, its quiescent current is higher (5.3 mA/ch), leading to greater power consumption, while its supply range (9–40 V) partially overlaps with that of the AD8512. Substitution may be considered if the application primarily requires high input impedance without demanding high-speed performance and can tolerate higher power dissipation.
