1. FMAT7467-3 Substitution Conclusion
The FMAT7467-3 is not a direct drop-in replacement for the SA18SS-03. The most critical difference lies in its operational frequency upper limit of 12 GHz, whereas the original component supports 0-18 GHz. If your application operates above 12 GHz (e.g., certain Ku-band applications or specific test and measurement scenarios), using the FMAT7467-3 will introduce unpredictable additional insertion loss and performance degradation, potentially leading to system failure. Although both devices share identical attenuation (3dB), power handling (2W), and impedance (50Ω) specifications, the significant reduction in frequency range is the fundamental reason it cannot serve as a substitute.
2. FMAT1010 Substitution Conclusion
The FMAT1010 is not a direct drop-in replacement for the SA18SS-03. Its operational frequency is limited to a maximum of 6 GHz, representing a substantial gap compared to the original part's 18 GHz capability. The FMAT1010 is only suitable for lower-frequency applications from UHF through C-band (such as cellular communications or Wi-Fi). For any application within the X-band, Ku-band, or higher frequencies—which the original component was designed to cover—it will be completely non-functional, exhibiting severe performance degradation or outright failure. Consideration for downgraded use is only permissible if the system's maximum operating frequency is confirmed not to exceed 6 GHz. Otherwise, it must be regarded as non-interchangeable.
