• Designed for low-dropout, high-current (1A) secondary precision regulation, with input voltage already pre-bucked to the 5V–5.5V level.
• Not applicable for 12V/24V high-voltage inputs; a front-end DC-DC step-down to below 5.5V is mandatory.

Key Parameters and Advantages

• Dropout voltage: 0.3V typical at 1A output (compared to 0.8–1.2V for ordinary LDOs at the same current), significantly reducing heat generation.
• Input voltage tolerance: operating voltage ≤ 6V, absolute maximum 7V (exceeding this causes damage).
• Output range: adjustable up to 5.7V, supporting very low dropout conversions such as 5.5V → 5.0V.
• Package and current: 3×3 mm DFN, continuous 1A output, with overcurrent and overtemperature protection.
• Operating temperature: ambient temperature up to 85°C (non-automotive grade).

Applicable Scenarios

• Post-regulation for 5V USB/Type‑C supplies (input 4.75V–5.25V), output 4.5V or 3.3V for Wi‑Fi, 4G modules, etc.
• Industrial bus 5.5V input, regulated to 5.0V for high-precision analog front ends (AFE) or ADCs, filtering out DC-DC ripple.
• Compact devices (FPGA cores, SSD controllers, optical modules) to eliminate preceding switching noise while delivering high current.

Constraints (Verify Before Use)

• Input voltage must be ≤ 6V; if the pre-stage is 12V/24V, direct use is not allowed.
• Ambient temperature not to exceed 85°C; DFN package thermal resistance approx. 50–60°C/W, temperature rise about 15–18°C at 1A, requiring evaluation with overall system heat dissipation.

Selection Recommendation

• If the front-end voltage is 5V or 5.5V and the load is within 1A for RF, analog, or digital core applications, RT2517AGQV is a cost-effective choice.
